Shadows are created when an object blocks the path of light. Only opaque objects can form shadow. Shadows are helpful to us as it give us some information about the shape of objects. The shadows can be seen only on screen such as on walls, buildings, grounds, or on other surfaces.

Moon appears as the brightest object at night as compare to stars. It appears quite large, but that is only because it is the closest celestial body to our earth . The moon is about one-fourth (27 percent) the size of Earth, a much smaller ratio (1:4) than any other planets and their moons. Earth's moon is the fifth largest moon in the solar system.
